A champion’s experience. The next generation’s opportunity.

Learn from a champion

Some lessons happen in the navigator’s seat.

Imagine learning rally strategy from a Great Race champion, then climbing into the car to put those lessons to work. That’s the opportunity we’re working to give five X-Cup Legacy students at the 2027 Great Race Spring Rally.

Jeff Fredette, Great Race winner in 2018 and 2025, will share his techniques and competition experience with the students before the rally begins.

Then, each student will spend a half day competing as Jeff’s navigator. They’ll practice what they’ve learned, build confidence, and experience the challenge of rally competition firsthand.

How are students selected?
The five participating students will be selected through a random drawing, giving every eligible student an equal chance to participate. Donations support the students’ travel expenses.
