X-Cup Legacy exists to empower the next generation of innovators through the student division of the Great Race.
We connect high school, technical college, and university students with opportunities to build, restore, maintain, and drive vintage vehicles in a one-of-a-kind endurance rally.
Through funding, resources, scholarships, and mentorship, we help student teams experience precision driving, teamwork, problem-solving, and the preservation of automotive history.
What is the X-Cup?
The X-Cup Division is the student division of the Great Race, a cross-country vintage automobile rally built around precision, endurance, navigation, and teamwork.
Unlike a speed race, competitors are not trying to arrive first. Teams follow detailed course instructions and attempt to arrive at checkpoints at precisely the correct time.
Students do the real work.
X-Cup teams are not simply along for the ride. Participants learn to work together as drivers, navigators, mechanics, and teammates while managing the same challenges faced by other Great Race teams.
They prepare vintage vehicles, navigate long days on the road, respond to mechanical problems, and learn how preparation and precision affect every part of the competition.

The X-Cup experience gives students skills and relationships that can continue long after the rally ends.
Teamwork
